Enemy Pie Virtual Author Visit (K–2)

A live virtual author visit with Derek Munson exploring friendship, “enemyship,” and the story behind the picture book Enemy Pie.

During this interactive visit for K-2 students, Derek talks about how Enemy Pie was created, reads the story aloud, and answers students’ questions. Teachers also receive downloadable PDF activities to use before and after the visit. The session typically runs about 30–40 minutes

How it works: 

  • You choose a time that works for your class
    Use the online booking link (the "check available dates" button) to pick a visit time that fits your schedule. You can book for an individual classroom, grade level, or any combination of K–2 classes.

  • We'll confirm the visit and handle payment
    After you book, you’ll automatically receive a secure payment link for the visit fee of $99. In most schools, this is covered by PTA, library, or building funds rather than individual teachers. (Need help navigating the funding process at your school? Email derek@enemypie.com and I can help!)

  • You get Zoom details and classroom activities
    Once payment is received, I’ll send a confirmation email with the Zoom link and downloadable PDF activities you can use before and after the visit. On the day of the visit, you just connect to Zoom on a setup your students can see, and we’re ready to go!
